Looneyville Shirley Goodwin 2024 Carolyn Sue Holstein 1952 — 2024 72, of St. Albans, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She was born in St. Albans, WV, to the late Charles E. Roberts and Marcelene B. Graley Roberts; and sister, Patricia Clark. Carolyn was a homemaker and loved her family very much. Surviving are her husband, Earl "Bill" Holstein of St. Albans; children, Mia Holstein of St. Albans, Hope Loveless (Bruce) of St. Albans and Travis Holstein of St. Albans; sister, Tammy Jefferies (Richie) of Poca; brother, Charles Roberts (Sherrie) of Red House; five grandchildren, Logan, BJ (Chelsea), Dillon, Hannah and Harley; and six great grandchildren. He was born on April 25, 1952 in Charleston to the late Hayward and Anna Fields Blackshire. Randy was a member of Gateway Christian Church. He was born on June 7, 1933, in Rumford, Maine, the fifth of ten children, born to the late Emile and Armande Roy. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by seven of his siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Jane Hester Roy; and their three children: Pamela Roy, living in Australia, Gregory Roy, in Charlotte, N.C., and Monica Maglich (Douglas) in Sarasota, FL. Della Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Walker and her son, Wayne Walker. She was very proud of her name Della Pearl, as she was named after her paternal and maternal grandmothers. In 2022, at the age of 92, Della Pearl instantly lost her sight due to a medical issue. She had great hope that her sight would return but did not and she didn't become despondent or complain. Instead, she handled it with poise and grace worthy of emulation.
